This time I noticed the sign when I went to breakfast at 8. At 9 sign was still up I went in anyway. After being in the pool till 1030 a housekeeper came and took the sign down. No housekeeper ever came in the pool area.
This is an excellent hotel. We enjoyed our stay here very much. My one wish was that the swim pool would be a little warmer, my kids didn't want to swim in it because it was so chilly! The room was great though, staff polite and the breakfast was good. 5 star over all. :D
Been here twice now, Sept 5 and Sept 28 2017. Customer service was great, room and hotel clean. However both times I visited the pool is supposed to open at 8am but both times at 830 there is a sign in the door that says " pool closed for cleaning " on sept 5th I asked the desk and they said it will be open in 20 minutes. I went to my room came back and sign was still on the door after 45 minutes. Also nobody, no housekeeper any where to be found.
Why are they cleaning the pool right after it opens anyway????
The staff here is extremely nice. They got us situated even before our check in time and there were freshly baked cookies, which made us feel more at home. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast options were plentiful and the cinnamon rolls were awesome. It may not be the most luxurious, but it is very comfortable and homey.
This review is for the Salina Kansas location. Building and rooms are well kept. Staff is very friendly. This is a no smoking hotel but you can smoke outside. They offer free breakfast in the morning, which was good for "hotel grub", and while I was there they offered "happy hour" between the hours of 5pm-7pm, but it was just canned Budweiser and Bud Light (yuck). My opinion, the beds are a little too firm but some like firm. I would stay at this hotel again.
The Holiday Inn Express at Salina, KS was great! They are a fairly new facility and the rooms were clean and fresh. The shower and bathroom was spacious and the soft water was fantastic! They also have beer, wine & appetizers from 5-7pm, which was a really nice surprise. This location also has Tesla charging stations if needed. The hotel can be seen right off the highway and is easy to get to. There are fast food restaurants close and more within 15 min. There is also a nice, inexpensive water park within 15 minutes as well. All in all it was a great stay.
