Everything was great! I had the jambalaya, it was extremely good! Another had the chicken fried steak, one of the best I've ever tried! Sweet potato fries with maple syrup was a delicious surprise!
Great service and atmosphere. Love the roominess of the tables. Love the live entertainment. The good was very good but it is a different style of Cajun than I've ever had before. The eitouffe is cheesy, tasty but unique. The shrimp Creole has too many tomatoes for my taste. The cornbread and gumbo are delicious!
Haven't been to New Orleans in over three decades, but this food does remind me of what I ate there years ago! Good wait staff, sometimes slow service...nice variety of menu options, yummy cornbread aa a side. If you want to check out some Cajun food, check out Heart of Dixie!
I was concerned by the fact that the place was almost empty on a Friday night and the amateur-looking menu, so I was pleasantly surprised by the food! The catfish was sooo crispy and the gumbo was super flavorful. And, the portions were HUGE! However, the beer list was small and kind of lame. All around though I'd definitely come back!
Wow and amazing! Delightful atmosphere, with great live music! Such a great change from the many run-of-the-mill restaurants that are out there. Had the Cajun Sampler with cornbread, which was so authentic I wanted to eat it slowly to savor all the flavors. We found out the owner had restaurants in Louisiana, so if you are looking for ordinary, mass-produced cajun food, go elsewhere! Will be back very soon to try several other items on the menu. Prices on menu as great a surprise as the quality of food. Superior customer service!
