A pleasant surprise after days on the road. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. This town has some really dodgy hotels. They post great photos on the interwebs to lure you in like a gnat to a spider's web. Don't be a gnat. Stay at motels with loads of good reviews. I would let my dear old mother stay at Candlewood. Small kitchenette if you have time to cook.
2nd floor hallway smelled like someone had cooked about 5 carp 10 minutes too long. The ac unit was extremely loud when it kicked on at 1 am and woke us up. Also tooooo close to the highway, lots of trucks throughout the night. No pool, their "gym" area was tiny, smelled bad as well. They also double charged my corporate credit card and if I hadn't looked at the receipt I'd have had to make up the balance. No breakfast but had free coffee. Will not be staying there again. Staff was ok at front desk.
I loved everything about this place. The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was amazing (especially Joanie). I was there visiting my son in college and wanted to cook him some home cooked meals so the kitchenette is what attracted me to this hotel and it was perfect. They had everything we needed from toaster oven to wine openers and we even checked out a few games to have family game night. This will definitely be my home while visiting him in the future.
Stayed 2 nights here. Clean rooms, very nice staff. Very comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay here again.
Fast and attentive desk staff. Very nice, clean room that was well appointed. The bathroom was clean and had extra towels. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salina.
