This is a very clean and safe hotel at a good rate. I would definitely stay here again when traveling through this town. The breakfast food in the morning was maybe the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. The eggs are fresh and the waffles had a great mix. There is a huge meeting room that looks like it used to be exterior to the hotel and it was at some point closed off it would be great for large groups or kids. It's right next to the pool and hot tub area and on the other side is the breakfast area. The staff was very nice and helpful and very respectful.
Wow, avoid this nasty attitude ran place at all cost unless your from Chicago and then you'll feel right at home. They have an atrium but get ran out at 10 pm on a Saturday even without any noise. Yes they have their rules, but it is there attitude and how they treat you when you have stayed in their run down place for several years for our family Holiday gathering. Not anymore. With threats to kick you out from the check in. If you have a party in the room, you will be aked to leave, really. Feel real welcome.
My wife and I had our wedding reception at this Quality Inn back in 2015. It was a wonderful experience. They were great with reserving rooms for our guests and provided an amazing banquet room. Since then, I have recommended this hotel to any friends or family passing through the Salina area. Their rooms are great, and their rates are even better. I know the owners personally and they are fantastic people who value their customers! Aside from having a personal attachment to this hotel, I'm also a Choice Rewards member and stay at every Choice hotel I can when traveling, especially Quality Inns!
This hotel is dated, and has definitely seen better days. Everything from the old carpet and decor, to the large interior courtyard with old and broken arcade games and putting "green" shows that this place hasn't gotten much attention in decades. I saw a "pardon our dust" sign in the lobby which indicated that the hotel is undergoing renovations, although I did not see any other evidence of that. Despite this, our room was very large and comfortable. The bed was nice, and there was a fairly big television. The breakfast bar was also well stocked with a good variety. And the staff that I encountered was all extremely friendly. So despite the poor first impressions, I would probably stay here again next time I'm traveling across Kansas.
After a really long day we stoped here after booking online at choice hotels. I own a concrete company and we travel. We stay at quality inns alot. I have to say this place is a joke. The desk help couldnt check me in to save her life. Then she had questions for her boss and had to use my cell to call him. Mind you she is a the front desk. Then i get to room and lay down and she calls. I need your credit card again she says. Then asked if she could come get my card. Then she went on to tell me she will bring it back to me. I got out of bed at 3 a.m. to give her my card again. Then i go to check out and she wants my credit card again. SHADY SHADY SHADY!!! i couldnt even get a receipt. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!# SLEEP IN THE CAR!
